THE QUEST OF THE 30 X GOLDEB COFFEE BAG
30x COFFEE BAG AIRLIFTED TO DUBAI,,,is a story of how if you give a banana and a K50 to a monkey he will choose the banana without realizing that he could buy more banana with that K50.
In 2022, PNG exported approximately 250 kg of roasted coffee bags to Dubai, valued at around USD 100 000 ,ie K300 000 (The National November 7, 2022). What happened was coffee from Goilala was shipped from Pom to Lae and then from Lae to Dubai. Seems to be it was a trial by The MP for Goilala Casmiro Aia, the CIC and Agmark Niugini Coffee. Im assuming the initiative would have slowed down or stopped due to the cost and the demand to have a continuous supply of coffee by the Arabs which we (PNG) cannot meet, being Goilala is mountainous and then talk about transporting on the road to Pom Wharf and then all the way to Lae wharf and then to Dubai. Now we got 30x bag of coffee from Morobe and its on its way to Dubai via Kumul right now as we speak.
The issue here is for us to have a continuous supply in required quantity and quality. Already established businesses like Agmark Niugini, Banz Kopi, Nebiliyer Kopi, Togoba Coffee, Monpi, Kongo etl have their markets. Why not provide transport to the local farmers to bring their coffee from Morobe or the inner hills of EHP or from Karamui-Simbu out to the highway to those established businesses . Im talking a fleet of vehicles just for coffee transport; thats where the issue is, damnt!
We already have the market and the businesses and the resources and the coffee and the farmers! We need transport from those remote places out to the factory. We dont need an airlift of 30 -bags- only-transports to Dubai

mama mia, bel blo me buruk tru lo ol hausline ya

...
What we are doing or have been doing is carrying out market survey. The airlifting of 30 bags to Dubai serves as a pilot shipment aimed at establishing a presence in the Middle Eastern market. This initial export allows stakeholders to assess market reception and gather feedback, which is crucial for planning larger shipments in the future.
My point is we have been doing market survey since Independence and we are still doing market survey,,oloman...The information can be taken from our already established coffee businesses ya! worse is Post Courier making a full-page coverage on that 30x Bag of Coffee to Dubai as if it was a new thing when actually the new and worse thing here is the fact that we spent taxpayers money flying on our very own Kumul with those 30 golden coffee bags to Dubai,,,em mas ol golden bags stret ya?
Aiting by me title disla story "The Quest of the 30 Golden Coffee Bags" by me laugh or cry oo roll my eyes o
