YOU ARE YOUR OWN DOCTOR!

IS IT FLU, COVID-19 or MILD PNEUMONIA?

Im seeing a lot of people having flu/cough. Em no season blo mango or ol fruits na how yumi plenty kisim kus?

I see young students and kids, from ol lotu man meri no sawe kaiaki buai simuk to middle-aged people getting flu. Sampla ol body strong na fightim sampla olsem 4x students from Tusabab Sec-Madang fainted in one week and 2x students from Busu Sec-Lae fainted in the same week as per the FB posts I have seen.
By yu lukim olsem yu kisim amoxicillin na steam bath na rest plenty tasol flu no pinis yet. It takes 2-3 days for the body to naturally fight off the flu but even with the help of amoxicillin by you still feel the flu and have bone aches, feel weak, and a general uncomfortable feeling. This is the time now by ol narapla hait sick olsem malaria or asthma by show out.

Sampla mipla ronim Malaria marasin lo January, February and even now March. Simultaneously ronim amoxicillin lo February and March but nogat yet yah, the uncomfortable feeling still topping up with shortness of breath and for my case I sometimes encounter otitis media which made it worse. The vertigo (feeling of constant earthquake) from the otitis media just made it worse. Also, that weakened my breathing pathway.

Me belhat pinis, me brukim bagrapim ol samting lo house na tok nogutim disla sick; I was constantly saying kk k*n sick yah K*nt.

Me go lo hausik (private clinic blo skul yet) na story lo doctor na doctor tokim me lo hapim meri blouse na em by harim heart beat blo me too (well I didnt want to at first but I did), front back side putim stethoscope harim harim kisim pulse reading wokim ol disla kain test na even ol Nurse meri sekim pinis em yet confirm gen olsem heart blo me olsem blo ol sweet 16 (well I already know that darr ,eh eheh ). The Doctors diagnosis was for me to go get a glass of wine coz he said I was under pressure and stress; damnt whosait sawe stap under pressure? kain line olsem me ya noogat kain samting olsem preasure nambaut yah wanem kain preassure ya; I didnt believe the diagnosis as I left the clinic.

Its March again and I went to another Clinic (another private clinic blo skul gen) and they put me on Malaria medication. Kuan larim me pinis pastaim (I thought) so I finished my medication with no change at all. Actually the STAT dose was an arthameter injection, oloman arthameter killim me; I came home and screamed and cried the whole day and night. After completing my 1 week Arthameter dose I felt worse so I went back to that clinic to fight with the Doctor and Nurses this time.
I went there pulled out all my cards lined them on the table in front of the Doctor and he sympathized with me and wrote the diagnosis after checking my blood again for the umpteenth time. He then sent me to the Nurses station (all the while me ready lo toktok and was waiting for the right time).

As the Doctor left to treat his other patient I could hear the nurse saying she will prepare an Arthameter injection for me, I said whaaaaat? hell no Im not getting any malaria treatment as I dont have malaria, I already finished 3x round of malaria treatment so you guys just stop that non-sense, the Nurses turned around and looked at me (well I said it in a nice begging way so they didnt get on me). As they were looking at me I asked them 'Doctor tok lo wanem wanem maris gen, em writim wanem lo card ya? They called out some name I was not familiar with so I asked them do you guys have Augmentin in stock? They surprisingly looked at me and said Yes, I told them cross everything the Doctor wrote out and treat me with Augmentin lol!

The Doctor who was in his office heard and came over to where we were; we all stopped talking and the Nurses stared shakily at him; while as for me I stared out the window acting innocent and all lol! No one said anything for awhile, it was tense than I told the Nurse, please explain to the Doctor what I just argued about and so she did. The Doctor then responded that Augmentin was much stronger than amoxicillin (well I did my research) and in my mind I was like of course it should treat not only otitis media but the flu that seems to be non-stop and presumably COVID 19 which I would label as "Mild Pneumonia" which kept me uncomfortable for 3 months straight!

..and Yeap! Guys it worked..Im fine now but still feeling weak from too many medicine in my body; I am detoxing so it should be great!

Those young people out there, the body is strong it will fight it, eat well (no junk food and no smoking hey) sleep alot, steam bath and take in warm water). Those lotu man -meri do the same hey! and those others like me well take care of yourself...actually thats all Im gonna say right!?

Anyways thanks for reading, get well soon stay safe and take care!

CULTURE CLASH!

CULTURE CLASH!
The culture is very different! People over there are constantly at war amongst themselves over trees, coconuts, streams, rivers, sagos, land, seas and even the path (bush rot) to walk on is argued about etc., and any outside influence makes it worse.

There really is no land (blocks) for sale as every nature is accounted for. That's right every nature! You cannot just have a bath anywhere along the river/stream but at a particular place, just tingim bikpla wara ron ikam igo but you cant just dive into that river anywhere along its banks; you have to go to a designated spot along the bank to wash. The tree has a name the coconut has a story, the tanget in a particular place is worshiped (seriously guys). All Provinces have traditions but that place called Sepik ya is another place in another world (my Dads place so can't complain now can I)

Yes, Im talking about the recent viral post regarding the deportation of 50+ highlanders out of East/West Sepik. Some may think its the selfishness of Sepiks themselves wanting to work for money, others may think it's jealousy and highlanders are often hard-headed which may make it difficult to tame lol! and even some of the Sepiks may generally hate seeing highlanders around because of their unhygienic outlook on things around; let me explain this, the highlands has a cooler temperature so leaves and debris are not removed just so it keeps the moist and cold air at bay. If they sweep the ground and clean up the place it just makes it more colder, this behavior is seen being carried around with them even in coastal places too, we just have to understand and accept our very own different cultures laka!

Anyways going back to what I was saying earlier! it seems blue-collar jobs will be localised in the Sepik area and maybe the hiring company in concern will have to be recruiting Highlanders and any other Province people professionally on specialist jobs such as a Microbe Agriculturist/Scientist or Heavy Duty Fitter Machinists or a skilled person which they cant find within the Province.

Let me give a scenario here: okay when ladies have their monthly flow (period) they don't reside in the family home but go stay in another female house (house meri; side-house blo ol meri) until they are clean before returning to the family house; that's right everyone will know even your brothers and boyfriends will know you are having your period lol! (well that's a story for another time). What I'm trying to say here is that things like this tradition may not fit into other Provinces way of doing things. Other Province might not respect those traditions and it will definitely hurt the Sepik people. Upholding of the traditions is a big factor in their lives, actually upholding traditions and culture is what they live for daily (honestly I'm not exaggerating here)

Please understand them ooooo. I personally avoid going home to Sepik because I kind of hate following rules, Im a bit stubborn! I mean who wants to migrate go lo haus-meri for one week every end of the month, Id rather go stay up there in the Highlands where life is free as the air that I breath na kain ehehe! Thats right JFC that is!

Anyways, if I were to title this blog than what might I call it o? Should we say "Battle of the Clans?" Culture Clash? Provincial Clash? Regional Clash? Guys help me out here and lets give a title
